Your challenge
“How am I going to get the job done as safely, quickly and efficiently as possible?” This is a very relevant question when working at height. If the work also involves replacing, moving, assembling or installing pipes, the next question is: “How do I get the material up safely?”
This type of work is generally carried out using a scissor lift, with the pipes loosely being placed on top of the work basket. The safety risk of transporting pipes upwards or downwards is high as the pipes may start rolling.
It is equally unsafe for an aerial work platform to move horizontally, because a large part of the pipe protrudes from the platform. Pipes can start rolling if not fixed to the platform, or hit something or someone when sticking out. Accidents happen easily and damage can be significant.
Our solution
The tube carrier that was developed by Riwal Netherlands is made up of two arms with foot plates, two carriers and a length marker. The arms are fitted with end plates with yellow/black warning elements. The lashing straps are attached to the carriers and secure the load against unwanted movement. The legs and length markers are extendable and can be used for different types of scissor lifts.
Proper fixation of equipment helps minimise safety risks, and that is why we paid much attention to detail when developing the pipe carrier. Note that once the pipe is secured, it counts towards the aerial work platform’s lifting capacity.
Logistics
The tube carrier cannot be hired separately, but only in combination with one of the scissor lifts suited for its application. The tube carrier is assembled onto the machine at the Riwal depot and delivered to you ready for use, unless explicitly stated otherwise when hiring the tube carrier.
The scissor lift types below can be fitted with the pipe carrier. On request, we can look into whether the tube carrier might also be suitable for other types of aerial work platforms.

Good to know
The tube carrier has a CE marking and has been inspected by TÜV. The inspection certificate is available digitally. The pipe carrier is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. During machine movements, it is very important to observe the surroundings carefully. And of course it is equally important to act responsibly to prevent damage and/or injury.
We strongly advise you to follow operator training before using one of our lifts, to make sure you have the knowledge and experience to use it efficiently and safely.
