1989 | Dick Schalekamp sr. transfers both companies to his sons. |
1995 | Riwal Lift becomes an official dealer in the Netherlands for JLG Industries. |
1998 | At the 30th anniversary all companies join under one name and logo: RIWAL. |
1999 | Riwal starts a joint venture with JLG Industries under the name RiRent Europe. |
2001 | Riwal opens in Odense, Denmark with 120 platforms and some telehandlers. |
2002 | Riwal acquires a Danish rental fleet as well as a depot in Roskilde. |
2005 | In the Slovenian capital Ljubljana Riwal starts as a rental company and JLG dealer. |
2006 | In France Riwal sets up a rental company for platforms and telehandler in Chartres. |

2008 | 70% of 123 Lift of Estonia is acquired with expansion to Latvia, Lithuania and Poland |

2009 | Riwal is awarded the IAPA 'International Access Rental Company of the Year' |
| | Riwal UK is set up to provide specialist machines to local rental companies and end users. |
2010 | The Instant Holland Group is acquired including Instant Holland Amsterdam with a rental fleet of some 800 awp's taking the Riwal rental fleet to 2,800 units in The Netherlands and over 12,000 worldwide. |
| | In Germany Riwal establishes its first rental enterprise in Dortmund. |
